Challenge
To build a vibrant key visual as well as in-game supporting assets that would be used for PR, Social Media and DOOH advertising to promote The O2 in Fortnite campaign.
Delivery
As we weren’t provided with any professional in-game or promotional photography, nor were we allowed to use any recognisable locations within the Fortnite map, we spent countless hours in the game finding perfect parts of the map to screenshot and artificially merge together to create a new, believable environment for The O2.
Results
This campaign features the first time the O2 has ever featured in a video game. Another first for the campaign, included a unique interactive musical experience by the UK’s top up-and-coming Leicester act, Easy Life, who virtually performed tracks from their debut album ‘life’s a beach’. They are the first UK act to play within Fortnite Creative.
After purchasing a 3D model of The O2, I worked with the perspective and angles, shadows and lighting to accurately match the environment it was going to sit in.
